Lovers in Arms - first year summary

It honestly feels hard to believe that it's pretty exactly one year now that 'Lovers in Arms' has been published. Looking back, it was a lot calmer than anticipated, and a lot less nerve-wracking than I made it to be in the first weeks. So, basically, it was like most things in life.

Sales have been not really worth mentioning, but what I think IS worth mentioning are the glowing reviews that the book has gathered all over the net, and the awesome people I have met through the whole affair.

I already wrote about the nice review at Rainbow Book Review, and only last week another one has been published by Sinfully Sexy Books:

"I enjoyed this book immensely and it hit all the right buttons for me. Historical, reflective, questioning values and perceptions, but also emotional and full of hope for the future. Illustrating the good side of human nature. I would definitely read more books from Osiris of this nature."

There's a slew of four- and five-star review on Goodreads, saying things like:

"5 solid stars for a smoothly written, gripping, sexy, romantic and very enjoyable story. I would like to read more from this author. :)"

"[W]hat emerged was a tender and most romantic love story between two strong charismatic men with the excitement of the trial running alongside it with the "will he / won't he manage to save the love of his life" aspect keeping you on the edge of your seat."

"Very enjoyable."

"This story took hold of me and would not release me. Well worth reading."

"Great secondary characters, suspenseful trial with unexpected twists and turns that made me chew my nails..."

Those reviews (and more than that, the few critical points they mention) have made me A LOT more confident as an author. I am really looking forward to getting my next book out there. :D

But before that, there's the re-release of 'Lovers in Arms' in print, with the new awesome cover and another (small) promotional push. We're just waiting for the print proof to come out clean, and then I'll let you know.

One year down, many more to go.
