Lovers in Arms - first look of new cover!
As promised, here's a first look at the new cover for my novel 'Lovers in Arms' under the break.

Isn't this, like, totally awesome? I mean, of course the two characters still look totally different than Frank and Johann do in my imagination. But they are close enough to look like actors portraying them in a smutty movie version. People who know the story intantly recognized it as the cover for Lovers in Arms even without the text or me telling them. This is really, really good.

I could continue swooing over the light and the layers and the park and manor in the background, but that's a little beside the point. It is pink and gold and glowy and blurry, making me feel like a scruffy Barbara Cartland, which apparently is a very good thing to feel like. It looks like belonging to something better than anything I could ever write.

It is awesome.

Isn't it awesome! I wish I could contact the artist, but things being the way they are, she'll have to find all that praise by herself.
Thanks for commenting!

Holy shit, it is awesome! Sorry to say but e-book cover did look like thrown together in 5 mins from random images found on Google. (Brutal honesty, heh?) Now this... this is a work of beauty. I now kinda want to write a book myself to get a cover like that! :)

Hehe, it is quite a boost to the inspiriations, isn't it?

But I have say that all things considered, the first cover was still decent. Lovers in Arms IS a niche story, and very specific in its imagery, so there was no stock-art readily available.
For a start-up publisher, this cover we have today would have killed their budget. I really like the way FFP takes things step by step but cleans up loose ends once they can.

*puts new cover on loving display* No need to be perfect. Only need to improve when you can. :D

The first cover was not bad, just looked... cheap? Which I guess it was ;)

Anyway. Congratulations!

Oh, it WAS cheap, both literally and figuratively, yet decent considering the options - I called it cheap-looking myself in a post a year ago, so you're just confirming my sentiment.

Let's concentrate on the new one being awesome. :)
